Taking the green flag on raceday alongside the heavy and powerful Grand Sport cars were the smaller and more nimble Street Tuner machines. David White managed to put his #80 Bimmerworld BMW 328i on pole with a track record of 1:37.195.
White led from the green flag until lap seventeen where he was passed by fellow BMW driver, Paul Gerrard in the #18 RRT BMW 328i. The lead was swapped multiple times throughout the race with many different manufacturer's seeing the lead, including the #32 Mazda SPEED3 of Taylor Hacquard. The SPEED3 is relatively new in this category of racing, so to lead so early on in its development is a promising sign to Mazda fans.
As the race developed a fierce battle between the #75 Compass 360 Honda, #81 Bimmerworld BMW and the #171 APR Volkswagen GTI broke out for the lead of the race. Josh Hurley led in his GTI until contact with GS car on lap fifty-eight caused him to relinquish the lead to #81 BMW of Seth Thomas.
Thomas would lead the rest of the way for the win and gained a slim one point lead in the driver and team championships over the #74 Compass 360 Honda of Lawson Aschenbach and David Thilenius. Rounding out the podium was the #171 APR Volkswagen GTI of Josh Hurley and Kevin Stadtlander and finishing third (for their fifth straight podium) was the #75 Compass 360 Honda of Zach Lutz and Ryan Eversley.
