Video: Jaguar XJR-5 GTP at Laguna Seca

 The modern day diesel prototypes from the likes of Audi and Peugeot are some of the most interesting and exotic race cars in the world, but seem to lack some of the "soul" and raw excitement of the GTP cars from the 1980s. Back then, cars lacked paddle shifters and many of the new driver aids that make drivers' lives easier nowadays. It was simply you, your right foot and a six hundred horsepower brute of a racing car. Take a look (and listen) as Rick Knoop gets behind the wheel of a Jaguar XJR-5 at last year's Rolex Monterrey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca.
